Submission Guidelines
Literature
Submissions for original literary works are limited to five entries. Such entries must be 8 1/2" X 11" in format, double-spaced, and previously unpublished. Name, address, and telephone number should appear on each page of text. A short biography should accompany entries. Submissions should be emailed as Word files.
Each work must also have a clear title.
Work submitted without a biography will not be considered.

Deadline: The deadline for the Spring 2010 edition is December 18, 2009
Artwork/Photography
Submissions for original artwork are limited to fifteen entries. Accpetable visual works include: 2-d (photography, painting, drawing, printwork, etc.) and 3-d artwork (sculptures and weavings).
Each entry must be labeled indicating the artist's name, title of the work, and medium. A short biography should accompany entries and must be accompanied by an artistic statement of purpose.

Judging
Entries are judged by Encore's editorial board. All entries must be previously unpublished. Encore reserves all publication rights for each issue's design and content, as well as for first North American publishing rights. Encore also retains rights to use works for promotional and publicity pieces in printed or computerized formats. Authors and artists retain their rights for future publication/use.
